Painting and first "real" hair cut

Despite some sickness in the house, lots of fun was had this weekend. I got to spend part of my Friday at our local yoga festival and catch up with some of my yogi friends and teachers from my old studio here, Navarre Living Yoga. Plus, my lovely Natalie was back in town from Atlanta!  NLY teachers! Miss my Natalie here! The next day while Stefan rested from being under the weather, Gavin and I went back to the yoga festival to hang out in the kid's tent, listen to some Kirtan (yoga music basically) and play in the park. On Sunday with Stefan feeling a bit better we did some painting and arts and crafts! This was short lived but he loved it! Check out how proud he is of his artwork! Earlier in the day we finally gave in and got Gavin's hair trimmed up professionally. I had to admit my chasing him around the house to trim up the sides and back just wasn't cutting it anymore. He did pretty well! Britney our "stylist" was awesome with him! ...

Discovery Channel

Our very own Stefan was featured as the subject matter expert in a recent Discovery Channel piece featuring an exoskeleton ! We think it only aired in Canada because it was a Canadian Discovery Channel show. They came and filmed at Stefan's facility. This short story took 11 hours of filming! Crazy! They cut out a lot obviously. It is around the 37 min mark so you can just go to that part of the show and check it out after the ads. Enjoy!   http://www.discovery.ca/Shows/ Daily-Planet  (Nov. 13 episode).

Weekend life

Image
We had a wonderful family weekend! A few pics from our local ventures.  Daddy and Gavin snuggle reading, this may have been from the week before after work, but still had to share since it is so sweet.    The first actual "cold" day here but we had sun so we walked around the pier in downtown Pensacola to see the birds and the boats. Gavin loved it of course.  The pelican in the background tried to come at Gavin when he got too close. Oops! Family naps tend to happen when we are all home. Daddy's view of our nap. He kept getting more and more on top of me. He was oh so comfy. Happy 72nd anniversary to two of the most amazing people in our lives. Everyone loves you to pieces. Thanks for being a shining example of love for all of us to emulate.

A special message for Grandpa Underwood, love Gavin

A special message from Gavin to his Grandpa Underwood since it is his birthday and we don't get to see him too often ... oh and Underwood is way too many syllables so we are going for first names here. (Grandma Underwood - a little message for you at the end, too). Makes me smile every time - none of you will be able to resist a smile either after looking at this little face and sweet voice! Love you guys!

Boo at the Zoo and Halloween Weekend

Image
The weekend before Halloween we went to Boo at the Zoo on Sunday. It was quite warm, so this costume didn't last long. He has a monster walk and noise but he wouldn't do it in costume, of course! (Love him copying these animal noises!) Making monster noises. He didn't want the hood on and it was HOT, so he only stayed in the custom for about 10 mins.  Frankenbaby! Pictures of Mom and baby from Saturday when we were waiting for Daddy to come home from Virginia Beach.  Go STATE! Thanks Aunt Janice for his new shirt.  Sunset by our house.  Baby nap time snuggles, just love his little foot. Koala hat! Beach stroll. Stefan had to travel again and left the morning of Halloween so thank God again for our faithful friends the Reilly's! They hosted Gavin and I over night at their place in AL. We trick or treated and all the houses loved seeing Gavin. The adults enjoyed had a bonfire that night as it was ...
