Gavin laughing

Image
Now that I can get the videos to upload I can't help it! Here is another one I found that was taken before the last three but is so cute of Gavin laughing. (Pardon my high pitched laughs in the background to get him to do this :) ). Stefan's so proud of starting this obsession (see below) - Mal not so much ;)  Look how tiny he looks! Hahahaha :) Playing in Daddy's jeep! We are looking forward to some special visitors arriving today and tomorrow! Gavin will get to meet Grandpa Underwood, Uncle Michael and Auntie Katie plus see Grandma Underwood again - lucky guy! We can't wait to celebrate M&K's 5th wedding anniversary, my 30th birthday, Canada Day and Fourth of July during their visits - lucky us! More Gavin photos featuring two new videos, too (the last two are new videos)>>

Videos of Gavin and 4 month appt!

Gavin did great at his 4 month appointment yesterday. He weighs 14 lbs 4 oz. That is exactly 8 lbs more than his birth weight. He is 25 inches long up from 19 when he was born. He got a few more shots, but still slept well last night. He is a tiny bit fussier today and sleeping a bit more but overall he's great! For your viewing pleasure, a few videos of Gavin! Gavin's tooth! Gavin rolls back to front! He's doing that a lot more often now! And, you can tell he found his feet :) Gavin giggles! He is playing with sticking out his tongue.  Some more pics>>>

First Father's Day

Image
We got to celebrate Daddy on his first Father's Day! Friday we had an impromptu get together to introduce Gavin to Gabby who is 5 weeks older than him and Stefan's boss's baby. The babies weren't paying much attention to one another yet. That meant dinner at home would have been too late so we stopped and some Thai food on the way home (a little gem of a place that has the best green curry!). Gavin does much better being out in the evenings than at home. Seems we have a social butterfly on our hands! Baby swap! Gavin (4 months) and Gabby (5 months) with moms Mal and Kelly. Saturday Stefan got to golf all day in a tournament while Gavin and Mom met Brandi for a sushi lunch date (first time since being pregnant and oh so good!). That evening we were treated to dinner at our favorite restaurant by our friends as a thank you for having him stay with us when he first moved down end of last year. Good food and friends!  Backlit family pic, oh well! Sunday we had...

Daddy's Birthday

Image
Dad's work trip got cancelled so we were only without him for a long weekend while he celebrated a friend's wedding in St. Louis (Congrats Heidi and Kristian!). Our sweet friend Libby spent the weekend with us and we had a great time going shopping and out to lunch (thanks girl!). Gavin is such a trooper! This also meant we got to see Dad on his birthday and we celebrated this weekend! It was a busy weekend starting with a family-of-three dinner out for Indian followed by cupcakes at home and presents. The next day Dad got to golf and then we had some friends over for a backyard BBQ. Sunday we visited some friends from Indy who were staying at Orange Beach, AL (about an hour) but Tropical Storm Andrea is lingering and it was storming and pouring down rain most of the day. At least we got to catch up. We are all tired, but we had fun celebrating Daddy! Oops - fail! I brought the cupcakes outside to sing and apparently there was a breeze so he didn't get to blow out...

Four Months and a surprise!

Image
Best one yet! What is Gavin up to at four months old? Well ...  The kid has a tooth! SURPRISE! A little bit has actually come through the gum on the bottom front left (his left) side. No picture because turns out he doesn't let me look in his mouth easily, but you'll have to trust me that you can see white. This babe has been drooling and putting everything in his mouth for awhile now, and one day he had a low fever and a runny nose, so we shouldn't really be surprised. We thought it was common to get teeth around six months, but now that it has broke the surface I'd think this one would come up (but what do I know?).  He is happy most of the time, super smiley, laughs out loud and an all around little joy (obviously still some rough patches each day but usually short lived)! His sleep cues (white noise, swaddle, paci) have become noticeable to him and he is pretty quick to get to nap with those trusty tools (Thank you Dr. Harvey Karp and the Happiest Sleeper o...

16 weeks and a pair of miniature shoes

Image
Gavin turns 16 weeks tomorrow (Tuesday)! Next week he'll officially be 4 months! Stay tuned for a post then. For your cute factor this week, however, check out Gavin's first pair of shoes (courtesy of his super cool Uncle Mike and Aunt Katie). They will hopefully still fit by the end of this month when they come visit so they can all wear their Converses together! This little dude wore them to the mall all morning on Saturday!
