Summer Fun

Image
Last weekend we hosted many of Stefan's colleagues and a few friends for a BBQ and corn hole tournament. It was HOT! The hottest week we have had, and then this week it has cooled down a bit of course. Everyone was a great sport though and stuck through to it. Stefan and I were team RRWWB (red, red, white, white, blue, for the colors in the American and Canadian flag, yea corny!). Although we feel like terrible hosts, we did end up with the championship win! :) Gavin got to play with 2 year old Allie and enjoy the baby pool and sprinkler. We are looking forward to some visitors and hopefully beach time if it doesn't rain this weekend. Come on down Lauren, Dan and Nora, we are ready for a fun weekend! Let the games begin! (Libby, Shane, Jeremy and Chasity) Team Wilkins always such good sports - homemade team shirts! The kids staying cool. Ashton, Tyler, Jeremy and Chasity Recovering on Sunday with a family nap (I woke up first of course then had to snap...

Videos and photos for your Friday

Image
We have been settling into a nice routine the last few weeks with everyone home. Here are a few fun videos and photos of our normalcy. Of course, this won't last long as next week we start a new nanny (sad to see our girls go!), then the following week we start daycare/school two days a week, followed by a trip to Calgary and a trip to MI. It will be anything but normal until mid-October, but oh so fun! Enjoy a glimpse of the Underwoods lately. Love that we are so close to work that Daddy can sneak home for lunch sometimes (and run or ride his bike to work to fit in workouts and be home earlier, it is worth the move!). You'll hear Gavin's mantra "more" with his sign language. He does this for everything fun now! Libby snagged this awesome video of many of his latest "tricks" while we caught up in the driveway after a little shopping and lunch waiting for the boys to get back from golf. Two big parks and one small one so close by - we get...

1 1/2 years old!

Image
Gavin Turns 1 1/2 years old! I've been saying we have a 1 1/2 year old for awhile now, but it is officially true! He is a daily reminder of how to just be present - he laughs, discovers, explores, cries and loves with such focus and curiosity. He is my life guru lately :) It would be impossible to list all of his developments right now, but here are some of my favorites: He has something like 15-20 words including our favorites, Jeep, Moo (for cows and any animal that size), More, Uh uh He has some funny faces but my favorite is fishy face which sometimes is him sticking out his tongue and sometimes him scrunching up his lips.  His favorite thing lately is sitting in his rocker reading his books. His reading is gibberish but oh so cute. He leans back and reads one then hands it back to you and asks for More. Of course he would prefer to be outside if he could.  He does yoga (downward facing dog) and squats on command now. Makes Mommy and Daddy so proud! He h...

Auntie Caitlin's Visit

Image
Gavin and I were so happy to have his Auntie Caitlin visit for six days while Stefan was gone. She kept us both company and we had some fun, too! Stefan got home from England so they overlapped for one day at least. Thanks for coming sister, we love you! I took Friday off to spend the day with Cait, we went to the beach, then to lunch. Sushi! She likes it now and have gone the last two times she was here...fun tradition! A walk by our beach access. After work taking Gavin to the beach access by our house.  Saturday night drinks out while Stefan recovered from his flight home and Gavin was in bed. A visit to the zoo, Gavin isn't sure about this goat licking his hand! Bath time visitors are fun! Dinner out on Saturday waiting for Daddy to get home. Sunday brunch before Auntie leaves later in the day. Room playing! I'm late in getting this posted because on Tuesday last week I ventured to White Plains, NY for an all...
