Six months. ZZ aka Zozo bean is SIX MONTHS! This month birthday is hard for me, the others she has still felt so new. My baby is half a year old. That sounds like big baby stuff. But gosh, do I love her!

- Zoe at six months. Lots of changes. She still makes lots of noises and smiles tremendously. She is also still chill and goes along with most things easily. She thinks Gavin is a riot and loves watching him! She loves to look up at Daddy and smile (already batting her eyelashes at him, practicing for teenage years to get her way I'm sure), and she loves being worn in her carrier.
- She is wearing some 3 month and some 6 month clothing. She was 13 lb 10.5 oz when I took her last week after she was sick for awhile (an upper respiratory infection she is taking awhile to kick). She has her 6 month appointment in a couple weeks.
- She has tried avocado, banana, sweet potato and oatmeal and doesn't seem to be a fan of any of it. She barely eats any then starts to blow bubbles and out it comes. It is a long drawn out process. Since she isn't eating much of the solids yet we are still nursing six times a day and she does well with that. But ... she has two little teeth on the bottom and she knows how to use them (insert my ugh face!). She chews on lots of things and we think more teeth are coming, too.
- Our perfect sleeping baby ... is no longer (again insert my ugh face!). We are going on two weeks of her waking up one to two times a night usually between 2-3:30. She can put herself back to sleep a lot of the time, but it wakes us up nonetheless. Then she wakes up wanting to eat around 5:30 when she used to be able to make it till 7 or later. Could be she is hungry from a growth spurt or because she needs more calories but won't eat solids yet. Could also be that she is just about ready to crawl. She can move around now with a pull/slide maneuver. I have read sometimes they have a sleep regression a few weeks before a big physical development. Could also be a sleep regression. I also read this can happen between 6-9 months with all that is physically happening in their development. Or, could be that she hasn't been swaddled for a few weeks and realized she can roll around. So, really it could be anything! I'm just trying to go with it, but I'm tired! We were getting too spoiled with her perfect sleep I guess.
- Other loves, are being tickled! On her tummy and the bottom of her feet and her neck. A lot of places really, and when you tickle her she has this precious belly laugh. She also loves her bath and kicks and splashes!
Check out what
Gavin was up to at six months if interested in comparing.
