Picture perfect


This year I wasn't sure what was going to go on the Christmas cards, so I was saving some of my fav pictures of the kiddos in case we used them. I wanted everyone who got a card to be surprised by the pics! But, with little time to spare we finally got a cute picture of all of us together that I could use. So behold ... the pics I was saving for the card. 

First up - a little photo shoot I did spur of the moment when "Shibby" surprised us with matching jammies for the babes! They were from their trip to Maine this fall. They spoil us and love the kiddos and we miss them so much. Thanks guys for the awesome PJs! They have both worn them - both in MI and here. Turns out it gets a bit chilly at night in AZ in winter. 

Next up are the kids daycare pics from Natural Choice Academy. Only wish Z was smiling in the one together, but still love that we got some professional pics of the kids this year. Tamara - can't wait to come see you next time in Canada to get lots! XO

FL Friends Showering us with Loads of Love

I have to say I feel very grateful and blessed to have some great friends in FL. It makes it a bit easier being away from family knowing we have loving friends here who are genuinely excited about Baby Underwood's arrival and spending time with him/her. Three special girls, Calli, Libby and Natalie, planned an Aussie-themed shower to go with the nursery theme. It was adorable and all so appreciated. Thanks to them and all the ladies who were able to make it out for a Sunday afternoon dedicated to celebrating the pending arrival of Baby U. Much love! Hand-knit koala hat! Brooke - you are so good! I passed my gestational diabetes test, uterus measured well, heart beat of the baby was strong, my weight was still right on and blood pressure was ... well, it is okay compared to where it has been. First Trimester Fun

LENGTH WARNING: Last post and this post are catching you up and will serve as a memory for us in the future, so we apologize they are a little long. Once we got home and settled from our European adventures we hunkered down while I fought daily fatigue, a decent amount of nausea, a few food aversions and a heightened sense of smell that often left me holding my noise and running away from its source. Our first doctor's appointment was scheduled for 8 1/2 weeks and it seemed like forever away. One huge blessing is working from home where I don't have to get ready or act "normal". Stefan and Andrew helped out with some cleaning, cooking and errands while I really took it down a notch. I normally have a hard time resting and relaxing and not accomplishing much in a day, so my July was a bit different. The first appointment was great for the most part.
