Huge win for LLS to share!

Cancer ... all of you have been affected by it and I have, too. Over here at LLS we have some big news, and I hope you'll join me in celebrating it. For the first time ever, the FDA approved a ground breaking, highly personal gene-therapy treatment for ALL patients who didn't respond to traditional treatment, you know that cancer as the most common one kiddos get (like my big bro Matt).

It is called CAR-T (Car as in chimeric antigen receptor and T as in T-cell). The cool thing is doctors take the patients own cells and modify them to go back in and kill cancer cells! LLS has invested $40 million on this research and hopes it will lead to further advances in treatment for other cancers (think brain, lung and colon caner) and diseases.

Please help us continue to make these advances so we can change the end of so many patients' stories. I'll be participating in the Light The Night walk here in Phoenix in November and would truly appreciate our support (got even $5 to spare?!).
