Visitors arrive, move is complete and a birthday ... whew


Luckily we had some reserves come in for the packing, move and unpacking. (Poor Mom and Dad!)

They arrived on Tuesday then the move down the highway took place on Saturday ... yes, my birthday (blah!). It was a hot, humid and typical Florida day, so it was tiring for our relentless truck loaders and unloaders (aka Dad, Stefan and Shane) - the toughest job! Thanks also to Mom, Libby and Kait for all the cleaning, organizing, packing/unpacking and Gavin watching. We COULD NOT have done it without you!

We did take a break for some pita pit lunch - YUM - and some pizza and cake for dinner (and presents!). On Sunday the fam went out to dinner as well. All the move and birthday festivities pictures are on Mom's camera, so I'll wait to post those.

Happy Canada Day to all our Northern (wait, you are all North of us now, but you know what I mean) friends and family!

In a few days we are taking advantage of having a G&G around and taking our first trip as a couple sans Gavin. {Insert anxious terrified face of Mommy here}. I know he'll be great, but I'll miss him for almost four days! I am excited for some time with Stefan in a new place (Keywest!) complete with poolside lounging, dinner out and sleeping in!

Since we'll be on vacation - happy 4th of July as well!

FL Friends Showering us with Loads of Love

I have to say I feel very grateful and blessed to have some great friends in FL. It makes it a bit easier being away from family knowing we have loving friends here who are genuinely excited about Baby Underwood's arrival and spending time with him/her. Three special girls, Calli, Libby and Natalie, planned an Aussie-themed shower to go with the nursery theme. It was adorable and all so appreciated. Thanks to them and all the ladies who were able to make it out for a Sunday afternoon dedicated to celebrating the pending arrival of Baby U. Much love! Hand-knit koala hat! Brooke - you are so good! Lots of our FL family. Aussie-themed cupcakes, and they tasted great, too! To see the full album check it out here . Our last appointment went well! I passed my gestational diabetes test, uterus measured well, heart beat of the baby was strong, my weight was still right on and blood pressure was ... well, it is okay compared to where it has been. First Trimester Fun

LENGTH WARNING: Last post and this post are catching you up and will serve as a memory for us in the future, so we apologize they are a little long. Once we got home and settled from our European adventures we hunkered down while I fought daily fatigue, a decent amount of nausea, a few food aversions and a heightened sense of smell that often left me holding my noise and running away from its source. Our first doctor's appointment was scheduled for 8 1/2 weeks and it seemed like forever away. One huge blessing is working from home where I don't have to get ready or act "normal". Stefan and Andrew helped out with some cleaning, cooking and errands while I really took it down a notch. I normally have a hard time resting and relaxing and not accomplishing much in a day, so my July was a bit different. The first appointment was great for the most part.
