Auntie Caitlin's Visit

Gavin and I were so happy to have his Auntie Caitlin visit for six days while Stefan was gone. She kept us both company and we had some fun, too! Stefan got home from England so they overlapped for one day at least. Thanks for coming sister, we love you!


I took Friday off to spend the day with Cait, we went to the beach, then to lunch.

Sushi! She likes it now and have gone the last two times she was here...fun tradition!

I'm late in getting this posted because on Tuesday last week I ventured to White Plains, NY for an all-staff IT meeting. That means I finally got to meet many of my colleagues face-to-face after working in this role for over 2 1/2 years! It was so fun to spend time together and we had a productive meeting on Wednesday as well. It was two short nights and the boys did great at home without me.




We enjoyed a weekend with Daddy home and get to keep him here until we go to Calgary early next month!

FL Friends Showering us with Loads of Love

I have to say I feel very grateful and blessed to have some great friends in FL. It makes it a bit easier being away from family knowing we have loving friends here who are genuinely excited about Baby Underwood's arrival and spending time with him/her. Three special girls, Calli, Libby and Natalie, planned an Aussie-themed shower to go with the nursery theme. It was adorable and all so appreciated. Thanks to them and all the ladies who were able to make it out for a Sunday afternoon dedicated to celebrating the pending arrival of Baby U. Much love! Hand-knit koala hat! Brooke - you are so good! I passed my gestational diabetes test, uterus measured well, heart beat of the baby was strong, my weight was still right on and blood pressure was ... well, it is okay compared to where it has been. First Trimester Fun

LENGTH WARNING: Last post and this post are catching you up and will serve as a memory for us in the future, so we apologize they are a little long. Once we got home and settled from our European adventures we hunkered down while I fought daily fatigue, a decent amount of nausea, a few food aversions and a heightened sense of smell that often left me holding my noise and running away from its source. Our first doctor's appointment was scheduled for 8 1/2 weeks and it seemed like forever away. One huge blessing is working from home where I don't have to get ready or act "normal". Stefan and Andrew helped out with some cleaning, cooking and errands while I really took it down a notch. I normally have a hard time resting and relaxing and not accomplishing much in a day, so my July was a bit different. The first appointment was great for the most part.
