The season has begun

The rest of the long weekend we did all things Christmas for our one weekend here in December. We made it to the Elf Parade which kicks off Pensacola's Winterfest, then we ventured near our old stomping grounds and went to Zoo Lights (which Gavin loved!). On Sunday we made cookies for Gavin's teachers. We also enjoyed some family snuggle sessions and downtime which was quite lovely. Now we prepare for our big ventures ... let the packing begin!

Gavin's favorite lights - he didn't want to leave this one, he kept asking to drive it. Grandpa Jim certainly has engrained a love of tractors into this little guy.

Grandma Underwood - please share this with your friend. I know one of them got this for Gavin when he was born and he is actually using it as intended now. He says "neigh" and pulls him around. Pretty stinkin' cute.

And we found Uncle Matty's Christmas penguin in the box where the cookie cutters were, so he is now toting him around.

LENGTH WARNING: Last post and this post are catching you up and will serve as a memory for us in the future, so we apologize they are a little long. Once we got home and settled from our European adventures we hunkered down while I fought daily fatigue, a decent amount of nausea, a few food aversions and a heightened sense of smell that often left me holding my noise and running away from its source. Our first doctor's appointment was scheduled for 8 1/2 weeks and it seemed like forever away. One huge blessing is working from home where I don't have to get ready or act "normal". FL Friends Showering us with Loads of Love

I have to say I feel very grateful and blessed to have some great friends in FL. It makes it a bit easier being away from family knowing we have loving friends here who are genuinely excited about Baby Underwood's arrival and spending time with him/her. Three special girls, Calli, Libby and Natalie, planned an Aussie-themed shower to go with the nursery theme. It was adorable and all so appreciated. Thanks to them and all the ladies who were able to make it out for a Sunday afternoon dedicated to celebrating the pending arrival of Baby U. Much love! Hand-knit koala hat! Brooke - you are so good!
