Thankful for our Thanksgiving weekend

We are most thankful for this little love and his health! Here are some selfies he took the other day.



As we prepare for Stefan to venture to Poland this weekend and Gavin and I make our way to MI, we really enjoyed the long weekend together! Thanksgiving was almost perfect with our faithful friends, Libby and Shane and Libby's family. They invited us to their family holiday, hosted us in their home, made us all kinds of amazing food and we thanked them by having Gavin get sick on both their guest bed comforter and carpet ... yep, true story! 

Poor kid had something in the morning that didn't agree with him and although he wasn't sick, his belly was just not cooperating. He kept pointing to his belly and saying "boo boo". Sad! We made it home without incident in the car and the next day the kiddo was back to normal. Sorry again friends and thank you for putting up with us! :)

FL Friends Showering us with Loads of Love

I have to say I feel very grateful and blessed to have some great friends in FL. It makes it a bit easier being away from family knowing we have loving friends here who are genuinely excited about Baby Underwood's arrival and spending time with him/her. Three special girls, Calli, Libby and Natalie, planned an Aussie-themed shower to go with the nursery theme. It was adorable and all so appreciated. Thanks to them and all the ladies who were able to make it out for a Sunday afternoon dedicated to celebrating the pending arrival of Baby U. Much love! Hand-knit koala hat! Brooke - you are so good! Lots of our FL family. Aussie-themed cupcakes, and they tasted great, too! To see the full album check it out here . Our last appointment went well! I passed my gestational diabetes test, uterus measured well, heart beat of the baby was strong, my weight was still right on and blood pressure was ... well, it is okay compared to where it has been. First Trimester Fun

LENGTH WARNING: Last post and this post are catching you up and will serve as a memory for us in the future, so we apologize they are a little long. Once we got home and settled from our European adventures we hunkered down while I fought daily fatigue, a decent amount of nausea, a few food aversions and a heightened sense of smell that often left me holding my noise and running away from its source. Our first doctor's appointment was scheduled for 8 1/2 weeks and it seemed like forever away. One huge blessing is working from home where I don't have to get ready or act "normal". Stefan and Andrew helped out with some cleaning, cooking and errands while I really took it down a notch. I normally have a hard time resting and relaxing and not accomplishing much in a day, so my July was a bit different. The first appointment was great for the most part.
