2015 Holidays and yearend wrap up

Our little family is back in Florida at home and will all be together for about 7 weeks at least. What a whirlwind holiday season and entrance into the new year! Welcome 2015 and may all of you faithful blog followers already be feeling hope and health for the new year!

This is long overdo but in fairness we did get hit with some more sickness once we got home, so I'm just now getting myself organized.

Over the month of December, we were spoiled with love and family and friend time, and boy did we take advantage of our time up north.

I got in some visits with friends early on in my time there in between working. Then we enjoyed a large Harte family Christmas at Mom and Dad H's before venturing to NW Indiana for Christmas once Stefan arrived to MI from Poland. The house we rented held 25 of us, with almost 25 more of us joining us for both Matt's surprise party on Dec. 23 to celebrate his 20-year cancer free anniversary and Christmas Eve. Matt was shocked and had no clue we planned him a party (her hee!). It was emotional as everyone went back to that sad time in our family's history, but giving him the trip to Universal cheered everyone right up!

Christmas Eve was once again one of the most special times we have together and Gavin continued to enjoy everyone's company and playing with my cousins' kiddos. This was his first large Macocha Christmas! He even loved seeing Santa pointing at him and calling to him as he entered the room, but then he wasn't interested in sitting with him. Christmas morning was a treat getting to open stockings with everyone at the house and then the day was spent hanging out. What a beautiful legacy my Grandparents have left ... all of these loving people! They must be so proud looking at that room and seeing what they created together. Truly amazing!

Once back to MI the three of us made our way down to Indianapolis for a short visit with some friends and see our cousin's new house that is almost complete. Sorry to those we missed, and we will hope to see you next time! Back in MI we kicked off New Year's Eve with some friends at a hibachi dinner before celebrating with Mom and Dad and Matt at home with our traditional strawberry daiquiris.

The trip home was smooth and I was glad to have my bigger and more helpful travel companion with me. Plus I get to mooch off his premium status and we had first class on the short flight from Atlanta to Pensacola. Gavin did just fine as usual. He did have some time change issues when we got back and woke up quite early (4 a.m. mark) for a few days but seems to be settling in a bit now.

The first day of daycare drop off today was terrible ... the crying and screaming along with grasping my shirt kind of terrible ... so we will see how Thursday goes. It breaks my heart leaving him when he is that upset.

This time of year that always seems a bit blue because of the holiday adrenaline crash and all the fun plans being over, but let's all try to count our blessings as we see what 2015 has in store for us!

Here are some of my fav pics from the trips.
Naughty or nice?

Getting settled at the big Christmas house, Gavin loves his cousins! Nate and Evan
