Stefan is almost halfway through his second work trip in the last two and a half weeks, and then we have a short three day trip next week for him to get through (this one by choice) so he can start looking at areas to live in Phoenix and visit some daycares. Then we get him home until Baby U #2 arrives - yay and phew!
On his five days home we fit in lots of fun! We got a sitter and went to an amazing Fish House dinner with two of our awesome Indy friends while they were down here for a quick anniversary trip (and of course they came here so they could see us before we move ;) ). Then on Saturday I got so spoiled by my dear Libby at a beautiful baby "sprinkle" followed by a pedicure - seriously she makes life so much better by being in it! The boys got to hang at a MSU/Auburn baseball game at the Blue Wahoo's stadium (yes, totally random MSU was here at this tournament with all other SEC teams). It was a beautiful warm and sunny day. Gavin loved it but Stefan says he loved the popcorn more!
Then I leave you with Gavin's first black eye and the one thing not going great from this pregnancy ... the removal of a pyogenic granuloma on my forehead. It started out about a month and a half ago really small then kept growing, in theory due to the pregnancy hormones. It wouldn't be going away on its own and it was in a bad spot that kept getting hit and then it bled like crazy. So after a lot of hassle I finally got it removed with a plastic surgeon since it was on my forehead and needed to be a "neat" scar. Something else fun to deal with - why not?!
| All ready with his MSU shirt on, his free Blue Wahoos hat, his new baseball glove and baseball. |
| And then the after math ... |
| When I brought him in, he fell back asleep and you know I couldn't wake him up when I was getting snuggles! |
| Then he woke up for am minute, rolled off me and ended up like this. Oh these boys! |
| Stefan had to head to the airport but Gavin and I got to visit with some of our favorite Indy pals, Lauren and Dan, at their hotel pool. |
| And then we visited their hotel room where Gavin was jumping on the bed and his foot got caught in the sheets. He smashed his eye on the end table - this one hurt poor kid! First BLACK EYE :( |
| Before |
| After - with a huge bandage for one day. |
| The next morning - not too bad! Covering it with a band-aid until the stitches get taken out on Friday. Then hopefully just a little line of a scar that will fade. |
