Two big celebrations

Image
This last weekend our families celebrated two unprecedented milestones. G&G Macocha celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on Saturday while Stefan's great Auntie Bette celebrated her 100th birthday! Unfortunately, we couldn't attend both, so huge thanks to Stefan for staying in Phoenix with the kids and sending me to IL/IN to celebrate with the whole Macocha family at a surprise party for the couple. It was truly an amazing celebration of these two special people. The love in the room was palpable, and I'm so grateful for all these two have created and done for our families. I hope everyone in the US has a wonderful Thanksgiving! G&G are certainly two of the things I'm thankful for along with the family they created. Hartewood Professionals

Image
I can't believe it has taken me this long to post about Hartewood Professionals. I announced it over a month ago on social media, so many of you have learned about my new venture, but for those who haven't, I'm so excited to share this with you! For awhile now I've felt strongly that human connection is a pillar to happiness. And, I'm not talking about the virtual kind. That has its place, but I mean in-person, face-to-face connection. I have been blessed with it throughout my life, but at times I yearned for it like when I moved cross county three different times. Or, when I started working from home, or, when I became a new mom. I created it when I hosted the two yoga retreats, and it was magical. As I've gotten older and into my career, I see how those connections are essential to both success and happiness in business. In order to create and foster those connections though, you have to create quality customer experiences for your clients. In our cultur...

Caitlin's wedding and MI trip

Image
Wow what a whirlwind! The quick synopsis... Before we left for MI, I served on a jury for six days. It was quite the disruption to our daily routine. Then Gavin got sick for six days right before we left. We made it to MI then Stefan headed to Germany for a few weeks for work. The rest of us then got sick the first week, recovered and prepped for the wedding the second week then all met up again in Grand Rapids for Caitlin and Norm's wedding! The wedding was a blast, and the newlyweds looked amazing and were super happy. It was so fun to be with everyone to celebrate their marriage. They had a great time on their honeymoon and are now back home. Here are just a few snapshots, but I got a sneak peek at the wedding photos and they are AMAZING! Hopefully, I can share some soon. Mom and Dad got a new member of the family ... Winston, a purebred Bernese Mountain Dog. He's growing fast and is super fluffy. Besides some nerves the first few days, Zoe took quite the liking to him a...

Boys Trip to Calgary

Image
Baby girl and I have been holding down the fort this week while the boys ventured up to Calgary to hang with Gma U, U. Mike/A. Katie, cousins and friends. They have had a blast doing all sorts of fun things. Check out some of the pictures S shared with me below. And, enjoy a few of the Z baby from here in Phoenix. Thanks Gma for hosting the boys. I know they will be bummed to head back after having so much fun this week.  I've felt a little bad that I haven't updated Z monthly since she was a month like I did with G, so here is an update on her.  Z is 17 months old+, starting to say some words (baby, ball, ice, no, yea, mama, dada, baby, uh oh) and has quite the opinionated personality. She has all her teeth, is not a great eater, loves to drink her milk, thrives outside and playing with water, is in size 12-18 month clothes, still seems on the smaller side, is finally doing better sleeping a little later into the morning (7 p.m. to 5:30 now and goes back down with a pa...
