Caitlin's wedding and MI trip

Wow what a whirlwind! The quick synopsis... Before we left for MI, I served on a jury for six days. It was quite the disruption to our daily routine. Then Gavin got sick for six days right before we left. We made it to MI then Stefan headed to Germany for a few weeks for work. The rest of us then got sick the first week, recovered and prepped for the wedding the second week then all met up again in Grand Rapids for Caitlin and Norm's wedding!

The wedding was a blast, and the newlyweds looked amazing and were super happy. It was so fun to be with everyone to celebrate their marriage. They had a great time on their honeymoon and are now back home. Here are just a few snapshots, but I got a sneak peek at the wedding photos and they are AMAZING! Hopefully, I can share some soon.

Mom and Dad got a new member of the family ... Winston, a purebred Bernese Mountain Dog. He's growing fast and is super fluffy. Besides some nerves the first few days, Zoe took quite the liking to him and Gavin was so brave petting and playing with him despite not being around dogs too much.

We got home and got settled then had fun trick or treating at Stefan's work then on Halloween.

We have a super busy schedule with several trips for both Stefan plus a fun Thanksgiving planned in Flagstaff and then a Calgary Christmas. I hope everyone had a great start to fall and you are already enjoying the festiveness of this time of year!

FL Friends Showering us with Loads of Love

I have to say I feel very grateful and blessed to have some great friends in FL. It makes it a bit easier being away from family knowing we have loving friends here who are genuinely excited about Baby Underwood's arrival and spending time with him/her. Three special girls, Calli, Libby and Natalie, planned an Aussie-themed shower to go with the nursery theme. It was adorable and all so appreciated. Thanks to them and all the ladies who were able to make it out for a Sunday afternoon dedicated to celebrating the pending arrival of Baby U. Much love! Hand-knit koala hat! Brooke - you are so good! I passed my gestational diabetes test, uterus measured well, heart beat of the baby was strong, my weight was still right on and blood pressure was ... well, it is okay compared to where it has been. First Trimester Fun

LENGTH WARNING: Last post and this post are catching you up and will serve as a memory for us in the future, so we apologize they are a little long. Once we got home and settled from our European adventures we hunkered down while I fought daily fatigue, a decent amount of nausea, a few food aversions and a heightened sense of smell that often left me holding my noise and running away from its source. Our first doctor's appointment was scheduled for 8 1/2 weeks and it seemed like forever away. One huge blessing is working from home where I don't have to get ready or act "normal". Stefan and Andrew helped out with some cleaning, cooking and errands while I really took it down a notch. I normally have a hard time resting and relaxing and not accomplishing much in a day, so my July was a bit different. The first appointment was great for the most part.
