Stefan's bday!

Happy birthday to our best guy! We had a great weekend celebrating Stefan, although we were extra sad to see him leave on the afternoon of his bday for his next work trip - he'll be home Saturday morning at least. We will also be hosting my cousin, Jordan, next week, yay!

We got a sitter for Saturday night and dinner with several friends - so glad lots could make it out! 







Gavin was told he had to wait for Dad to get up (a short sleep in on his bday) before we could open presents. As soon as Stefan walked out, he ran and started to "help" tear the paper off. 


Part of M&D U's presents ... margarita glasses and salt - it is quickly becoming our family drink.  (We love the whole fruit marg recipe in the Vitamin cookbook!)

Thanks Caitlin and Matt - he seriously loves this thing already. He actually used those words. Hydro Flask water bottle.

FL Friends Showering us with Loads of Love

I have to say I feel very grateful and blessed to have some great friends in FL. It makes it a bit easier being away from family knowing we have loving friends here who are genuinely excited about Baby Underwood's arrival and spending time with him/her. Three special girls, Calli, Libby and Natalie, planned an Aussie-themed shower to go with the nursery theme. It was adorable and all so appreciated. Thanks to them and all the ladies who were able to make it out for a Sunday afternoon dedicated to celebrating the pending arrival of Baby U. Much love! Hand-knit koala hat! Brooke - you are so good! Lots of our FL family. Aussie-themed cupcakes, and they tasted great, too! To see the full album check it out here . Our last appointment went well! I passed my gestational diabetes test, uterus measured well, heart beat of the baby was strong, my weight was still right on and blood pressure was ... well, it is okay compared to where it has been. First Trimester Fun

LENGTH WARNING: Last post and this post are catching you up and will serve as a memory for us in the future, so we apologize they are a little long. Once we got home and settled from our European adventures we hunkered down while I fought daily fatigue, a decent amount of nausea, a few food aversions and a heightened sense of smell that often left me holding my noise and running away from its source. Our first doctor's appointment was scheduled for 8 1/2 weeks and it seemed like forever away. One huge blessing is working from home where I don't have to get ready or act "normal". Stefan and Andrew helped out with some cleaning, cooking and errands while I really took it down a notch. I normally have a hard time resting and relaxing and not accomplishing much in a day, so my July was a bit different. The first appointment was great for the most part.
