Canadian Adventures

Its taken me awhile to get our Canadian travels documented on the blog - turns out after vacation there is always a lot to catch up on at work and in life! We had a fantastic trip! Not only did we get to see our immediate family (although short-lived with Michael and Katie), we visited with Great Grandpa Underwood, cousin John and met his wife and son Vanessa and Tyler, cousin David and met his wife Katie, cousin Patti and her family, Aunt Joey, cousins Liz and Ali, cousin Iain and Auntie Bette (who turns 98 this Nov!)!

We did have some hard travel, mostly the flight to get there. Instead of arriving at a reasonable time with a toddler, we made it to our hotel at 10:30 p.m. and we were lucky to have gotten there then! Gavin was awake the whole time including the long wait at customs, the organization of our bags, terribly long wait at the rental car place, and the hour drive from the airport to the  hotel. I think he was just excited to see some of his people! Overall he did awesome. He made it to bed around 11 p.m. but at least slept in some.

We spent some time in Kitchener, Ontario with GG Underwood visiting his place and seeing some cousins and found a great local park plus had some family meals out. We were glad M&K could come out for this portion of the trip so we could see them!

We then ventured to Patti's place in Ottawa where they were so great to host us and Mom and Dad U then we all all made our way up to her family cottage in Gatineau, Quebec. We were spoiled with great good and drink and lots to do. Gavin loved being around four different big kids and it gave us lots of breaks while they played with him.

We then stopped by to see Ali's farm on the way to Liz's house in Kingston, Ontario where we spent a few days with some family. We had a great time introducing Gavin to Auntie Bette and just catching up! Thanks to everyone for hosting us and the great memories!

Lots of fun pics and videos!
