Libby's visit and first pool party


We were so glad to have our Libby visit for a long weekend (thanks to a work event it was a free trip!). She helped keep me somewhat sane and my mind preoccupied with the pending going back to work day this Monday. We explored the city a bit and got lots of time in with the kids. We were super sad to see her go, but already look forward to the next visit. 

The first day back is underway, and I'm updating this on my lunch break. Kids look like they are doing great (see pics below).

As for work, well, I'm not fully functioning only system, but hope to be tomorrow. Things are a bit messy with all our transitions, so hoping to catch up on all that soon. Fingers crossed for a smooth week with the family as we get used to the new schedule. This will also make it easier when Stefan is gone for his last (hopefully!) tactical work trip.

FL Friends Showering us with Loads of Love

I have to say I feel very grateful and blessed to have some great friends in FL. It makes it a bit easier being away from family knowing we have loving friends here who are genuinely excited about Baby Underwood's arrival and spending time with him/her. Three special girls, Calli, Libby and Natalie, planned an Aussie-themed shower to go with the nursery theme. It was adorable and all so appreciated. Thanks to them and all the ladies who were able to make it out for a Sunday afternoon dedicated to celebrating the pending arrival of Baby U. Much love! Hand-knit koala hat! Brooke - you are so good! I passed my gestational diabetes test, uterus measured well, heart beat of the baby was strong, my weight was still right on and blood pressure was ... well, it is okay compared to where it has been. First Trimester Fun

LENGTH WARNING: Last post and this post are catching you up and will serve as a memory for us in the future, so we apologize they are a little long. Once we got home and settled from our European adventures we hunkered down while I fought daily fatigue, a decent amount of nausea, a few food aversions and a heightened sense of smell that often left me holding my noise and running away from its source. Our first doctor's appointment was scheduled for 8 1/2 weeks and it seemed like forever away. One huge blessing is working from home where I don't have to get ready or act "normal". Stefan and Andrew helped out with some cleaning, cooking and errands while I really took it down a notch. I normally have a hard time resting and relaxing and not accomplishing much in a day, so my July was a bit different. The first appointment was great for the most part.
