10 years in the books!

Stefan and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary this month! We counted our Grand Canyon trip as part of the celebration, so the following weekend when it was our actual anniversary we had a nice quiet night at home after work and once the kids were in bed.  

We exchanged a few gifts, had a special bottle of wine we had been saving from Germany, and enjoyed a little dessert picnic outside to watch the stars come out. We laugh at the warmth thinking we could never be outside in February for our first four/five year anniversaries! 

Next year I won't be nursing a baby, so we are hoping to take a trip just the two of us to celebrate. It will be 10 years since our honeymoon so it seems quite fitting. Thanks to everyone for the congrats and well wishes and of course thanks to our family and friends for supporting us this far! 

We have six homes, four states and two kids under our belts...now we see what comes next!

Orchid Stefan bought me, orchid was the first flower he got me when we were dating. 

Dairyfree/gluten free cheesecake, its good, too! And, our saved bottle of wine. Its a dry riesling, and super good.

Part of my gift to Stefan - bottles of wine for our next five anniversaries with personalized labels. All the bottles have a meaning, too.

LENGTH WARNING: Last post and this post are catching you up and will serve as a memory for us in the future, so we apologize they are a little long. Once we got home and settled from our European adventures we hunkered down while I fought daily fatigue, a decent amount of nausea, a few food aversions and a heightened sense of smell that often left me holding my noise and running away from its source. Our first doctor's appointment was scheduled for 8 1/2 weeks and it seemed like forever away. One huge blessing is working from home where I don't have to get ready or act "normal". FL Friends Showering us with Loads of Love

I have to say I feel very grateful and blessed to have some great friends in FL. It makes it a bit easier being away from family knowing we have loving friends here who are genuinely excited about Baby Underwood's arrival and spending time with him/her. Three special girls, Calli, Libby and Natalie, planned an Aussie-themed shower to go with the nursery theme. It was adorable and all so appreciated. Thanks to them and all the ladies who were able to make it out for a Sunday afternoon dedicated to celebrating the pending arrival of Baby U. Much love! Hand-knit koala hat! Brooke - you are so good!
