Hartewood Professionals

Image
I can't believe it has taken me this long to post about Hartewood Professionals. I announced it over a month ago on social media, so many of you have learned about my new venture, but for those who haven't, I'm so excited to share this with you! For awhile now I've felt strongly that human connection is a pillar to happiness. And, I'm not talking about the virtual kind. That has its place, but I mean in-person, face-to-face connection. I have been blessed with it throughout my life, but at times I yearned for it like when I moved cross county three different times. Or, when I started working from home, or, when I became a new mom. I created it when I hosted the two yoga retreats, and it was magical. As I've gotten older and into my career, I see how those connections are essential to both success and happiness in business. In order to create and foster those connections though, you have to create quality customer experiences for your clients. In our cultur...

Caitlin's wedding and MI trip

Image
Wow what a whirlwind! The quick synopsis... Before we left for MI, I served on a jury for six days. It was quite the disruption to our daily routine. Then Gavin got sick for six days right before we left. We made it to MI then Stefan headed to Germany for a few weeks for work. The rest of us then got sick the first week, recovered and prepped for the wedding the second week then all met up again in Grand Rapids for Caitlin and Norm's wedding! The wedding was a blast, and the newlyweds looked amazing and were super happy. It was so fun to be with everyone to celebrate their marriage. They had a great time on their honeymoon and are now back home. Here are just a few snapshots, but I got a sneak peek at the wedding photos and they are AMAZING! Hopefully, I can share some soon. Mom and Dad got a new member of the family ... Winston, a purebred Bernese Mountain Dog. He's growing fast and is super fluffy. Besides some nerves the first few days, Zoe took quite the liking to him a...

Boys Trip to Calgary

Image
Baby girl and I have been holding down the fort this week while the boys ventured up to Calgary to hang with Gma U, U. Mike/A. Katie, cousins and friends. They have had a blast doing all sorts of fun things. Check out some of the pictures S shared with me below. And, enjoy a few of the Z baby from here in Phoenix. Thanks Gma for hosting the boys. I know they will be bummed to head back after having so much fun this week.  I've felt a little bad that I haven't updated Z monthly since she was a month like I did with G, so here is an update on her.  Z is 17 months old+, starting to say some words (baby, ball, ice, no, yea, mama, dada, baby, uh oh) and has quite the opinionated personality. She has all her teeth, is not a great eater, loves to drink her milk, thrives outside and playing with water, is in size 12-18 month clothes, still seems on the smaller side, is finally doing better sleeping a little later into the morning (7 p.m. to 5:30 now and goes back down with a pa...

Huge win for LLS to share!

Cancer ... all of you have been affected by it and I have, too. Over here at LLS we have some big news, and I hope you'll join me in celebrating it. For the first time ever, the FDA approved a ground breaking, highly personal gene-therapy treatment for ALL patients who didn't respond to traditional treatment, you know that cancer as the most common one kiddos get (like my big bro Matt ). It is called CAR-T (Car as in chimeric antigen receptor and T as in T-cell). The cool thing is doctors take the patients own cells and modify them to go back in and kill cancer cells! LLS has invested $40 million on this research and hopes it will lead to further advances in treatment for other cancers (think brain, lung and colon caner) and diseases. Please help us continue to make these advances so we can change the end of so many patients' stories. I'll be participating in the Light The Night walk here in Phoenix in November and would truly appreciate our support (g...

Pics from our Canada BBQ

Image
These are from our Canada trip in early June, but I just got them from Tamara. How lucky are we to have a professional, amazing photographer as a Canada bestie?! Our friends Meghan and Randy hosted us and all the Daubs for a summer BBQ over at their place. It was so fun and special to get all of our kiddos together ... all eight of them!  Enjoy :) Having fun with his Canadian pals Gavin and Tighe (Meghan and Randy's oldest) Gavin back with his bud, Addy. They are so adorable together all the time. (I think she is 8 now) Z enjoys a homemade popsicle courtesy of Meghan. Baby pool play and then this happened...the kids got into the dress up and so did S :) G so happy to be a Ninja Turtle! And there they are (Henry, Gavin, Tighe and Greyson in the front with Addy holding Zoe and Bailey holding Nola in the back). And as Tamara said, every super kid has to have super parents! (Front, Meghan, Randy, me / Back, Rob, Tamara, Stefan) Add...
