Welcome Home Daddy

We did it! Eight nights without Daddy and only minimal tears (from both of us ;) ). I'm very happy to have both of my boys back under one roof!

In the airport picking up Daddy!
After a few rough days in the beginning of the week, things calmed down around here. I saw a lot of friends this week (Calli, Brandi, Libby and Nat, thank you!) to help break up the evenings. We also had a special visitor, 6-month pregnant Lauren, my former colleague and good friend from Indy. She stayed a few nights until her family got in town for their summer vacation.

Libby got engaged, and we are so thrilled for her and Shane! Of course we had to celebrate with a mid-week girl's dinner (sushi!!!).
Just like old times, Lauren and I shared an office on Thursday and Friday. Gavin helped Lauren work a little bit, while she got some more baby holding practice as she awaits her pending bundle of joy due in October.

We had a great Mexican Dinner "Date" night with Nat and then a short visit to the beach. Ahh, refreshing!
Earlier this week when I had a fussy babe, I thought Gavin was just going through a transition period or something, either not wanting to be swaddled anymore or needing the solids, which both may be the case, but I now know that he was working on ... his third tooth! Not even 6 months old and this little dude has his third tooth showing white through his gum. It'll be up in no time. About five days before we see a tooth he is super fussy, we should start to catch on! It must be that is when the tooth is coming through the bone before it makes its grand entrance, and I can't imagine that is very pleasant. I thought the top two would come in next, but it is right next to the bottom right, so he will have three in a row :) .
You can't really see it on the left of that bottom tooth, so you'll just have to take my word for it - it is white there so on its way up!
Both boys are resting while I do this quick post then hopefully I'll have time to get a few things done this afternoon. Nope ... Gavin is squirming - gotta love the video monitor! Have a great week everyone.
