Rob and Tamara!

We had a blast hanging out with some of our best buds. Rob and Tamara spent five days with out sans their four kiddos. (For those at our July wedding they were the best man and groomswoman!). We missed home but it was great to have time with our fiends. They got to play honorary auntie and uncle to the kids and everyone enjoyed it! They enjoyed some sunshine and warmth as an escape from a Canadian winter. 

We hiked to the top of the local mountain, went out to dinner just adults, played outside and in the pool and they enjoyed exploring Sedona and Phoenix during our work days. 

Tamara is extremely talented photographer friend who has taken every professional photo of our family. She straight up spoils us! She took family photos and some of us at the top of the mountain, plus some with Zoe and toilet paper to match Gavin's. I'm so excited to see them!

We also had Zoe's birthday BBQ while they were here because our friend Tyler who Stefan worked with at EXOS in FL was here working for two weeks as well. Its been fun to have him around and catch up with him (though we miss his family, too). We also invited a local friends couple and Zoe got to have a homemade cupcake (awesome recipe without added sugar, uses a lot of maple syrup but you have to give somewhere)!. More pics of the bday BBQ and Zoe's birthday after she officially turns one next week...wowza!

We also got to have dinner with my Aunt Lisa and Uncle Mike from MI! They were in town visiting some friends on their vacation across three different parts of the U.S. It was so fun to have them here in our home in Phoenix and to have them get to hang with the kiddos.

FL Friends Showering us with Loads of Love

I have to say I feel very grateful and blessed to have some great friends in FL. It makes it a bit easier being away from family knowing we have loving friends here who are genuinely excited about Baby Underwood's arrival and spending time with him/her. Three special girls, Calli, Libby and Natalie, planned an Aussie-themed shower to go with the nursery theme. It was adorable and all so appreciated. Thanks to them and all the ladies who were able to make it out for a Sunday afternoon dedicated to celebrating the pending arrival of Baby U. Much love! Hand-knit koala hat! Brooke - you are so good! Lots of our FL family. Aussie-themed cupcakes, and they tasted great, too! To see the full album check it out here . Our last appointment went well! I passed my gestational diabetes test, uterus measured well, heart beat of the baby was strong, my weight was still right on and blood pressure was ... well, it is okay compared to where it has been. First Trimester Fun

LENGTH WARNING: Last post and this post are catching you up and will serve as a memory for us in the future, so we apologize they are a little long. Once we got home and settled from our European adventures we hunkered down while I fought daily fatigue, a decent amount of nausea, a few food aversions and a heightened sense of smell that often left me holding my noise and running away from its source. Our first doctor's appointment was scheduled for 8 1/2 weeks and it seemed like forever away. One huge blessing is working from home where I don't have to get ready or act "normal". Stefan and Andrew helped out with some cleaning, cooking and errands while I really took it down a notch. I normally have a hard time resting and relaxing and not accomplishing much in a day, so my July was a bit different. The first appointment was great for the most part.
