Deep breathes ... we made it through the end of the year and it was wonderful! Our midwest road trip was a success! In 11 days we stayed at 6 different places and saw lots of family and friends. We were so grateful we were able to head up north for the festivities and to celebrate the holidays along with Baby Underwood's pending arrival.
We had a surprise stop over in Nashville at a friend's parents house. It was so appreciated to have a welcoming home to split up our 12 hour drive to Indy and then have a holiday breakfast the next morning, too! The next day we had a short stop over in Indy before we made it up to NW Indiana for a family reunion/70th anniversary party for Grandma and Grandpa. What amazing role models they are for all of us. We couldn't be more thankful to have them in our lives along with the crazy fabulous family they are responsible for creating!
That evening we got a chance to hang out just the gals and play some baby shower games (including one pretty funny Christmas song game). The time was so special, thanks so much to my amazing family!
The following evening we had our bi-yearly traditional Christmas family dinner complete with all the Polish traditions. We have almost 50 people now!

These family Christmas' are truly the best and I'm so glad we didn't have to miss it since it only comes around every other year.

| Thanks to each of you for making our Christmas celebrations happen! |
On Christmas day we played games and hung out with the family at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
The next day we made our way to MI for three days at home. It refreshed us for our trek back to Indy. The next night we had a wonderful dinner with most of my book club and then a baby shower with the LLS/TNT gals. Then we made out way back to Florida arriving around dinner time on New Year's Eve.
The one not so good thing to report was that around midnight, to bring in the new year, my body decided no more and gave into getting the stomach flu. I spent the whole night sick and then the whole next day in my room sleeping it off. I was so looking forward to the day to get things done and organized around the house after being gone for so long, but at least I had the day to recover so I could work the next day. Being that sick on the road trip would have been horrible! Stefan was feeling a bit blah, too, so we are keeping it easy the rest of the week and will do all the errands this weekend. Hopefully after Sunday night I'll have lots of things checked off my nesting list.
We hope everyone else had a wonderful start to the New Year. We can't wait for 2013!
